IML - IN-MOLD LABELLING
It is the most versatile process for high-tech surface design: In-mold labelling (foil back-molding). Besides almost endless décor variations using screen-printing technology, it also offers many possibilities with regard to functionality: for example, disappearing effect, the shielding of electric fields, partial galvanizing or scratch-resistant coating.
It is the basis: The classic screen printing on polycarbonate foil or aluminium. For small quantities we also make use of the most modern digital printing plant.
Up to 25 mm forming height for PC foils, up to 8 mm for aluminum. Depending on the project, we utilize various automatic and semi-automatic forming plants.
Quick separation: By means of stamping tools or laser plants the decorated blank foils are separated from the superfluous parts.
Precise insertion of the blank foils by robot automation and back molding with one or more components. Foil and plastic combine to form a high quality technical part.
IMD - In Mold Decoration
Good transfer policy: A layer of color applied to a foil is transferred onto the plastic component during injection molding. In this way interesting depth effects and décor changes are possible in record time. A change of a roll suffices.
MORE THAN JUST PLAIN
For display windows with black frames or gearshifts in the modern car interior. With wood- or metallic-look, brush-effect, color change or holograms, IMD proves itself to be extremely versatile.
The symbol dial of the Dodge Charger has its optic in this order: Black coating with IMD, free lasing of the symbols, with white paint behind, scratch-free coating on the front.
