We provide training for a total of nine professions and have already guided 350 young people to their qualification. We place a lot of value on team spirit and every year we organise get-to-know-you days and outings for our trainees. The technical side works anyway.

KH is international – and if you want, you can benefit from this during your training.
Anyone who has a grade point average of 3 or better in their third year of vocational school can spend two weeks visiting one of our locations in China or Mexico. You will get to know your colleagues there, gain an understanding of a different culture and broaden your horizons. You will also get some cool pictures for your Instagram or TikTok profile.
The programme is open to all apprentices. So, if you put in the effort, you will be rewarded. And if you don't have wanderlust, you can of course stay at home.
PLASTICS AND RUBBER TECHNOLOGIST
"It was completely spontaneous - but the best decision." Leonie came to KH on the recommendation of another apprentice and is now totally convinced of her career choice. She finds it particularly exciting to set up machines from scratch and oversee the entire production process. The working atmosphere? "The colleagues are friendly and support you wherever you need help. It's a bit more relaxed here than expected, but of course you have to do your job to keep it that way."
After her apprenticeship, Leonie is aiming to train as a technician. In her free time, she is actively involved in the fire brigade and hiking in the mountains. She describes KH as "ecological, supportive and harmonious".
IT SPECIALIST FOR SYSTEM INTEGRATION
When Rico comes to the toolmaking department, he knows his way around twice over, as he had already completed further training as a CNC operator before his KH apprenticeship. But then he became more fascinated by IT: "The depth of network technology and system administration in particular broadened my technical understanding."
KH was able to score points with him ‘because I found my trainer very likeable, which further strengthened my positive impression.’ He appreciates the strong team spirit in the IT team and the collegial cooperation - and "that you always get a friendly welcome in other departments when you're working in IT support." For him, KH is "innovative, international and extensive".
SURGICAL MECHANIC
Turning a hobby into a profession: Diana volunteers as a paramedic at the BRK. She is one of the few KH staff allowed to enter the ECA clean rooms: "My main task there is to manufacture medical devices and instruments such as endoscopes. After graduating from secondary school, she did a commercial internship but realised that she was more interested in medical technology. The step to KH was a short one: "My sister works here as a plastics technologist. That's why I knew that the training is very high quality."
In addition to the combination of technical knowledge and manual skills, what Diana likes most about her job is "that I get such a deep insight into medical technology and make an important contribution to patient care."
IT SPECIALIST FOR SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Sometimes the path is not straight. After school, Patrick learnt the trade of a wood mechanic and then joined the German army, where he ended up in IT. KH was on the way to the barracks and after an internship, he is now completing a proper apprenticeship here. He manages network structures, processes user enquiries and exchanges telephones. The knowledge also benefits him in his private life: ‘I'm an IT specialist through and through, and I'm currently expanding my home so that I can set up a home server, e.g. for hosting multiplayer games’.
He thinks the working atmosphere in his department is very good. Patrick now has a new goal: ‘To become a master IT technician. KH supports me in this.’
