A perfect injection mold is the prerequisite for high-quality plastic components. Our mold-making division produces over 150 series and pre-series molds annually. In addition, we manufacture punching and forming tools for the in-mold labeling process. The mold design phase incorporates various simulations and optimizations from the very start. Seamless integration ensures Formula 1 speed: CAD data flows directly from the design stage, through our CAM department, to the high-speed CNC machining centers.

Product Examples

Processing special materials, complex component geometries or the need for film decoration always places specific demands on the injection mold. Drawing on extensive experience, KH consistently identifies the right solution for efficient production processes.

A soft-touch component featuring an undercut design that conforms to the ear canal, paired with a housing boasting a wall thickness of just 0.3 mm. Optimizing melt flow and the demolding process were key priorities for this project.

Tactile guides help the user locate the correct position by touch. In the Mercedes C-Class, key functions are positioned separately below the touchpad—featuring KH’s IML technology.

Innovative steering wheel controls for the all-electric Ford Explorer feature gap-free IML decoration and a "black panel" effect.

From small to large

A part weight of just 0.004 grams: in micro-injection molding, the mold can easily be carried in one's hand. These intricate components also arrive at the machine straight from our in-house tool shop.

Our micro-injection molding machine—equipped for cleanroom operations—is hard at work in our medical molding department. It produces items such as tiny articulating joints for single-use endoscopes.

Whether using a rotary table or an indexing drive, we have mastered multi-component technology (up to three components) inside out. Naturally, this includes foil decoration and the corresponding specialized tooling.

We have handled molds weighing up to 7.8 tons. These steel giants are used to manufacture parts such as decorative trim for vehicle interiors. You can confidently entrust us with your large-scale projects.
