KH Capacitive Steering Wheel Switch wins TecPart Prize

In series production for the first time and instantly worthy of a prize: With its “Vibra” project, KH was awarded with one of the most sought after TechPart prizes at the K. The steering wheel switch is to be found in the VW electric vehicles ID 3, 4, 6 as well as other Golf 8 versions, and makes use of Functional Foil Bonding (FFB) technology, which is being used in series production for the first time. In this process, a functional foil, which is necessary for capacitive operation, is applied to the IML surface after injection molding where it is glued completely without any bubbles. A fully automatic production line was developed at KH especially for this purpose. The advantage of FFB: Only flawless IML parts are provided with the high-quality functional foil.
